WHAT TO WEAR NOW: SPRING 2014

Pink is in again! We love the shades of pale pink, dusty pink and even Pepto Bismol pink, but you definitely can't go wrong with this. It's a great accent colour to finish off a black or white outfit, or as a solid coloured dress on its own. Look for minimalist designs with emphasis on structural details like darts or rounded shoulders, as silhouettes are more mannish instead of your typical frilly saccharine sweet style. Scared of all-over colour? Try it in small doses like a small clutch or on your nails.

Midriffs are also the new cleavage. I know you're thinking that you can't pull this off, but the secret in wearing crop tops these days is to make sure that the gap between your true waist and your high waisted bottom is about a few inches only. Choose your coordinates carefully, especially longer, more covered crop tops so that you only reveal a hint of flesh, like the woman in the street style photograph. That's what makes you chicer and classier than the rest!

We love this trend influenced by sportswear! Skirts or dresses with a mesh overlay give you the extra length, but still let you show off your fabulous pins. You can wear this trend by going with a sporty/grunge look a la model off-duty or even a sultry Dolce & Gabbana style dress with sheer lace.

Last but not least, we have the black & white geometric/checks trend that's popping up all over high street stores. Try the trend out by adding a new patterned top to your work wardrobe or if you feel brave, a pair of shorts mixed with another geometric print top.
